Educator · Storyteller · Technologist

I teach media production, make things people watch, and tell stories that stick.

I'm a media production educator and content creator, teaching filmmaking, post-production, and content strategy at the college level, and putting that same craft to work on my own shows: three podcasts spanning geek culture, comics, and alumni storytelling, and Teaching Tech, launching soon. MFA. MBA. Over a decade in the classroom and behind the camera, same belief in both rooms: technology is a vehicle, not the destination.

01 — About

Two rooms: the classroom and the edit bay.

I've spent my career moving between two rooms: the classroom and the edit bay. As an adjunct professor, I teach media production, filmmaking, and content creation — helping students find their own voice with a camera before worrying about which one to buy. Outside the classroom, I put the same philosophy to work on my own shows: three podcasts covering geek culture, comics, and alumni storytelling, and Teaching Tech, arriving soon on YouTube.

The thread connecting all of it started long before any of these shows existed — So You Want to Be a Geek began as an idea back in 2009. I hold an MFA and an MBA, and I'm a licensed drone pilot — three different ways of asking the same question: how do you tell a story people actually want to watch?

"All it takes is one person to take a chance on them, to guide them, to believe in them, until one day, they stand here too." FDU Alumni Award acceptance speech — May 2026
🏅 FDU Alumni Volunteer of the Year, 2026 — recognized for his work on the Coming Home Podcast.

02 — Credentials

More than one thing, on purpose.

The short version: MFA (Full Sail, class valedictorian), MBA (Dowling College), BA in Film (FDU), and a UAS drone pilot's license. The longer version is that I've spent over a decade in classrooms and edit bays, and I'd rather show you what that looks like than list it.
